The AIA Brussels Arbitration School (ABAS) is an initiative of the AIA. It is a five-day intensive course on arbitration, which rewards its participants with an ABAS arbitrator certificate. The curriculum of the program is conceived by arbitration experts and is aimed at lawyers, in house counsel, experts and alternative dispute resolution practitioners from around the globe. The course strengthens the establishment of ties between the participants and arbitration providers. Benefits of the ABAS training include an arbitrator certificate, contact with the leading arbitration practitioners from Belgium, content tailored to the participants’ profiles, and a possibility to submit questions upfront (allowing the speakers to include the answers in their presentations). The ABAS training is open to a limited number of participants and places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
