Profile of the speakers:
Johan Billiet is a lawyer at the Brussels Bar. He is an arbiter and accredited mediator, appointed as arbiter by the CEPANI, the ICC, Cefarea and GCC Commercial Arbitration. He often takes part in ad hoc arbitration. He is at present the President of the AIA.
Andrea Carlevaris is a doctor in International Law and a lawyer admitted in the Rome Bar, practising at Bonelli Erede Pappalardo Studio Legale. He took part in numerous international arbitration proceedings under the Rules of the ICC and ICSID (mostly construction and foreign investment matters); former Counsel, Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He is a member IAI Paris.
Denis Philippe is a doctor of law and economics, lawyer at the Brussels and Luxembourg Bars, extraordinary professor at the Catholic University of Louvain (international business agreements and English contract law) (UCL) professor at the ICHEC and lecturer at the University of Paris X Nanterre. He is regularly appointed as an arbitrator by the CEPANI and the ICC, since more than 25 years.
Charles Price is a partner at Cruyplants Eloy Wagemans & Partners since February 2005. Former Vice-President of the British Chamber of Commerce for Belgium and Luxemburg, Director of CEPANI, Member of Swiss Arbitration Association, Mediator accredited by the Brussels Business Mediation Centre, Specialist in Arbitration Law accredited by the Brussels Bar, panel arbitrator accredited by the American Arbitration Association.
Eugene S. Becker, senior principal of Becker Law in New York City. He is admitted to practice before various courts in Australia and South Africa, licensed in New York under the Judiciary Law as a foreign lawyer. Master of Comparative Law, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, 1993, Bachelor of Laws, University of Cape Town, South Africa, 1980 ,Bachelor of Arts, University of Cape Town, South Africa, 1978; Memberships New York Member, Association of European Attorneys.
Rafal Morek has Master’s degrees in law and in international relations from the University of Warsaw, LL.M law and technology from Ottawa University. At present he pursues doctoral studies in civil law at the University of Warsaw. He is a co-founder of Centre for Solving Disputes and Conflicts. He practiced law at Dewey Ballantine LLP, specializing primarily in corporate and intellectual property law.
Julius Nayak is a lawyer, called to the Bar in India, January 2004, LL.M. (candidate), Mineral Law and Policy, Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, Scotland, 2007, LL.M., International Economic and Business Law, Kyushu University Graduate School of Law, Japan, 2006, LL.B., V. M. S. College of Law, India, 2003, B.S. (chem. Sc.), Goa University, India, 2000. He is at present the secretary of the AIA.
Rodny Daniel is a doctor in international business law, international jurisprudence doctor (h.c.) a professor of international law, a President of the Caribbean Institute for Diplomatic & Strategic Studies, Executive Vice President, AMC International Law Associates. Dean of Studies, the London College of Applied Sciences & Technology, Head of the Faculty of Law & Related Law Studies at SEU Inc., he has been appointed as Vice President for the International Diplomatic Academy and a Director of Global Education System in South America.
