Increasingly, attorneys and their clients seek other methods to reconcile differences without spending time and money involved in litigation. This course will provide students with an overview of the various ADR techniques, working knowledge of the basic theories underlying negotiation, arbitration and medication. Students will learn to distinguish and identify the characteristic of the various alternative resolution approaches and the legal issues which may arise in pursuit of these remedies.
